Why men havn't adopted skirts

Skirts have been around for a long time. Durring the roman times men did wear skirts however, the skirt has gradually been removed from most cultures for men. Now there are kilts and I think something skirt like in india, but I can't remember. But for the longest time men havn't worn skirts in western culture. Why? Because the only times they are worn by men is because they are making a fasion statement or are trying to look like a girl. The problem is no one is making skirts designed for men. Why can't a man look manly in a skirt? If men's skirts were a thing I'd probably consider buying one however, the only skirt I could buy is one that is designed for a girl and therfore will make me look less manly. And if a skirt looked like a man could wear it then a man probably would.
